Students of RiverDale Junior College (grades 11 and 12 ISC) are put through a strong program that seeks to help them achieve increasingly higher levels of academic excellence. All students are assisted to become aware of the importance of their performance in the Board examinations as the defining basis for a productive and successful career in the future. The Junior College study portions are quite challenging but the students are supported and assisted to cope with them suitably, often supplemented with extra specialized classes and self-study sessions throughout the day.
Students of Junior College can choose from three major educational streams: Science, Commerce and Humanities or Arts (introduced from academic year 2017-18). Students of Junior College are required to select their choice of stream and subjects which have to be registered with the Council early in the term in 11th grade.
Well qualified and experienced teachers having the required specialized expertise have been designated to work with these older students of the school along the streams and subjects of their choice. Designated staff make sure to counsel the students of Junior College on aspects of physical, mental, intellectual and emotional changes that they go through so that they become more aware of these changes and are able to comfortably deal with the attending new experiences.
In working with the school's older students, our approach at RiverDale is to help them look ahead and prepare themselves for life after school, where every decision that they make will be crucial to their success and well-being.
We at RIS are keen to work with qualified, experienced and motivated staff who enjoy working with children and have what it takes to work in a boarding school for helping shape the minds and hearts of the 21st century learners and develop their thinking skills and creativity. More
